A friend explains lift like this: "Air over the top must travel a longer path in the same time as air underneath, so it moves faster, and by Bernoulli faster means lower pressure." Name exactly what is wrong in that chain, what Bernoulli legitimately contributes, and why the story cannot explain a plane flying upside down.

  • The weak link is the phrase "in the same time". Ask: what law enforces that?
  • Bernoulli is not the error. The premise feeding it is.
  • Inverted flight puts the "longer path" on the bottom. What must the pilot change so the wing still lifts?
